Role: Assistant Producer Trainee
Level: Trainee / early career development opportunity
Start: 2 Oct 2023 or earlier
Office: Cham ZG, Switzerland (Hybrid; min. 3d/wk @ office)
Length: 12 months (with prospect of a permanent position as Assistant Producer after one year)
Salary: CHF 1'500 per month

YOUR ROLE

We are a relatively small team with many active projects. This allows for a broad range of exposure to all aspects of a production company and a wide variety of day-to-day responsibilities. This may include reading scripts, writing coverage, research, assisting in a specific area of a project and with general office duties. You will spend time across our Film and Television slate, in both development and production roles, on a project-focused basis. You will be working alongside experienced creative and production executives to gain first-hand experience of developing projects from their inception through to production and release. This is a fantastic, unique opportunity for anyone wishing to build a career in scripted production and develop the real-world skills needed to succeed.

We are seeking a reliable, smart, high-energy outperformer who is eager to get into the world of international filmed entertainment. The ideal individual possesses a respectable, professional communication style. The right candidate has an extreme attention to detail, doesn’t know everything, pro-actively asks questions, makes and owns mistakes (though learns not do the same mistake twice).

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

▪ Learning to coordinate and, when requested, attending meetings with internal and external parties, working across multiple calendars; providing meeting minutes, taking notes, and tracking follow ups; learning to organise and prioritise deadlines
▪ Participating in creating materials such as presentation decks and proposals for outgoing pitch
▪ Learning to review material submissions which include pitch decks, scripts, books by submitting and discussing your analysis and recommendation
▪ Learning the process on a shoot by supporting the Director/Producer on potential shoots
▪ Bringing your knowledge of film/tv and pop culture to our team
▪ Providing support to Producers on projects
▪ Assisting in updating various director / writer / talent grids
▪ Research Assignments / Online research
▪ Support in general office work and everyday business
▪ Running errands and providing refreshments when necessary

THE ESSENTIALS

▪ Meticulous work style, above-and-beyond detail orientation

▪ Higher Proficiency in Excel (basic formulas are a must), Word, and PowerPoint
▪ Must be eligible to work in Switzerland

THE NICE TO HAVES

▪ Proficiency in other languages besides English (and German)
▪ Previous work experience in the industry or in an executive assistant role
▪ Love for reading
