We need a skilled Camera-man or woman to capture high-quality footage for film and video. You'll help us distribute knowledge and stunning graphics throughout the world. You have the drive, teamwork, and communication skills to finish small to large projects quickly while working closely with a small team.
A camera person / operator must be stable and fast. We want you to feel comfortable with expensive and sensitive equipment as well as able to concentrate and pay attention to detail. Requirements
* Record scenes with professional camera equipment for all types of video related projects.
* Have an eye for beautiful visual shots, framing, and viewpoints.
* Collaborating with the crew and directors to plan shots (You are open to taking orders from the directors but at times can quickly create and capture your own amazing shots).
* Contribute to the scene planning process.
* You are able to choose and organise your own video camera and other equipment, assemble, and place gear (cameras, stands, lighting, equipment, software etc.); You are not just a great camera artist but also a great time manager.
* Excellent filming and capture skills.
* Understanding and following camera scripts.
* Good communication skills.
* You put forth a lot of effort and want to learn more about camera process.
* You know how to use effective lighting strategies to make any video appear fantastic.
Job Duties
* Prepare and test camera angles and motions.
* Shoot sequences as needed.
* Film from a fixed or moving position.
* Work closely in a team, are good at lighting, and sound to achieve the greatest result.
* Solve technical or practical problems.
* You can plan ahead, set up camera, equipment, and lighting quickly, operate efficiently in time-constrained situations, and fulfill deadlines.
* Strength and stamina to carry heavy equipment.
* That you are organized, punctual, and available at all times (which means you are flexible to work after hours and on nightly hours and weekends from time to time).
* No special degree is required for this position, although it helps.
* You answer quickly to WhatsApp and phone calls.
* Learn to film to create spectacular slow motion shots.
* Know how to use lenses, film, filters, light, and camera settings to get the desired look.
* Adjust lighting, exposure, and focus on equipment, cameras, and other similar devices.
* Work with other film experts to define desired effects, lighting needs, camera motions, and filming sequences.
* Organize, charge, clean, and test all essential equipment and cameras each day before filming.
* Before filming, inspect the set for camera angles and lighting difficulties and alert the director.
* Keep up with new technologies and industry trends to ensure you use the most up-to-date tactics.
* You should either possess your own video camera and equipment, or be able to arrange and organise it and then bring on set directly, fully charged, available and ready to film.
Preferred:
* Basic Experience with appropriate equipment (cameras, drones, cranes etc.) (or are a natural talent and are willing to learn on your own how to operate it via self-taught learning capability).
* Comprehend the technical elements of camera operation and process.
* Work, education, or filmmaking experience.
* Aside from Black Magic 4K and lighting equipment, we currently solely rent out our studio equipment.
* You must organise and have your own video camera and equipment on hand at all times.
* When required As a post-production supervisor, edit footage (but you will mainly focus on camera workflow)
* You can write, speak, and comprehend English and Swiss German.
